Gernot Rohr sends an important message to Super Eagles players ahead of 2018 World Cup

- England defeated Nigeria 2-1 in a friendly game at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 2

- Goals from Harry Kane and Gary Cahill ensured the Three Lions came out triumphant in that encounter

- Meanwhile, the Super Eagles coach feels his side have to do a lot of work to be ready for the World Cup

Nigeria technical adviser Gernot Rohr believes his side are not fully ready for this year's World Cup in Russia.

The Super Eagles suffered a 2-1 defeat to England at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 2, in an international friendly game as part of the build up towards the championship.

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill opened scoring for the hosts through a superb header in the 7th minute.

And in the 39th minute, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane doubled the Three Lions Lead to hand them victory in the first 45 minutes.

However, Arsenal's Alex Iwobi reduced Nigeria's deficit in the 47th minute through a rebound from Odion Ighalo's attempt.

Meanwhile, the German born tactician has now called for absolute concentration from the players as they go into the final phase of their camping before jetting out to Russia next week.

This game shows we still have a lot of work to do to be ready for the World Cup.

This will be the third time both team will be playing and the English national team have won two of those meetings while the third ended in a draw.

Nigeria has one last test game before their first group game against Croatia on June 16, and it is against Czech Republic on June 6.

While the Three Lions will battle Costa Rica as they continue their build up towards the competition on Thursday, June 7.

The Super Eagles are in Group D for this year's championship and they will battle Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in a bid to stand a chance to progress to the round of 16 of the competition.

They will also be hoping they can progress beyond the knockout stage in the 2018 edition of the tourney.

NAIJ.com earlier reported Nigeria's World Cup preparations was taken to another level as the three-time African champions took on the Three-Lions of England at the prestigious Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

In less than eight minutes, Chelsea defender Gary Cahill opened scoring for the hosts through a superb header to leave Francis Uzoho confused in the early minutes of the game.

With the visitors still trying to find their rhythm in the encounter, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane doubled his side's lead barely six minutes to the end of the first half of the game.
