- Chelsea are set to launch a bid for Argentina star Gonzalo Higuain this summer
- The Blues are hoping to convince Serie A champions Juventus to allow the forward joined them
- Meanwhile, they are willing to allow Alvaro Morata rejoin the Old Lady if the deal pulls through
FA Cup champions Chelsea have reportedly opened negotiations with Juventus over the possible summer signing of Argentina star Gonzalo Higuain.
The Blues are looking to add firepower to their attack ahead of next term following a disappointing performance that saw them finish outside of the top four spots on the log at the end of last season.
They currently have Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud as their point men having loaned Michy Batshuayi out to Borussia Dortmund earlier this year.

And since they were unable to get the best out of Morata in his first season at the Stamford Bridge, the London club are willing to let him go and give space for a new player next term.
Chelsea will be campaigning in the Europa League in the 2018-19 season after finishing fifth on the EPL table and they will hope to get the best legs to help them in front of goal.
However, Tribal Football reports that the Blues director Marina Granovskaia had earlier this week contacted Higuain's brother and agent, Nicolas, about a summer move to London.

Meanwhile, W Radio Colombia believes the Stamford Bridge outfit have now approached Juve about a price for the Argentina international.
The Italian League champions are willing to allow their star striker leave this summer but it will cost whichever interested club about €50 million to sell him.
Pipe Sierra, a reporter with W Radio Colombia, has claimed Chelsea have assured Juve they're willing to include Alvaro Morata in the operation.
Morata was snapped in conversation with Juve sports director Fabio Paratici last month during a visit to Milan with his agent.
NAIJ.com previously reported that Juventus set to deny Chelsea the chance to sign Argentine star Gonzalo Higuain this summer as the Italian club plan to use him to sign Inter Milan ace Mauro Icardi.
The Blues are looking to strengthen their forward ahead of competition next season and they have identified the 30-year-old as a credible candidate to replace Alvaro Morata.
According to the Sun citing Italian news outlet Tuttosport, Juve are currently negotiating with the Nerazzurri over a sensational swap between their two star forwards.
Higuain has spent three seasons in Turin and has been tipped to leave the club this summer; however, he could be heading to the San Siro while Icardi go the other way.
