Arsenal announce the signing of 26-year-old German goalkeeper from top Bundesliga side

- Arsenal announce the signing of German goalkeeper Bernd Leno

- The 26-year-old is part of Germany's squad at the World Cup in Russia

- The Gunners also signed Swiss international Stephan Lichtsteiner

Premier League side, Arsenal, have made their second summer signing and it has been confirmed German goalie Bernd Leno has put pen in paper for the Emirates outfit.

The west London club confirmed on their social media handle announced the 26-year-old have been signed from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

Details of the deal have not been known yet but this means Petre Cech and the young shot-stopper will jostle for first team action next season.

And Colombia international David Ospina will be leaving the club to seek more playing time elsewhere.

A few days ago, the Europa League semifinalist also announced the signing of 34-year-old defender Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The Switzerland international left Serie A champions Juventus after he was out contract at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Arsenal signed former Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery as Arsene Wenger's successor.

The Spanish coach will be at the helms of affairs for the Gunners after the Frenchman spent 22-years at the club.
