Chelsea who find themselves a whooping eight points behind fourth place Tottenham came into this clash a with clearly visible intent of closing the gap between themselves and Spurs, little wonder they started with their two target men, Morata and Giroud.
And all it took for the scoreline to change in this clash was just twenty minutes as Kevin Long scored an unfortunate own goal after deflecting the ball into his own net to make the scoreline 0 - 1.

And at the end of the first 45 minutes the scoreline read Burnley 0 - 1 Chelsea.
And was the in-form Burnley that provided an early scare that got the equaliser for them in the 66th minute as Johann Gudmundsson unleashed a strike and Ashley Barnes deflected the shot into the net with his body.
All it took Chelsea to get the equaliser was five minutes as Emerson put a cross into the box in the 69th minutes and it found Victor Moses, who latched on to it and striked the ball into the bottom right corner to make the scoreline 1 - 2 in favour of Chelsea.

And at the end of fulltime it was a 1 - 2 victory for Chelsea at the Turf Moor.
The victory leaves Chelsea still in the fifth position but it cuts the gap with Spurs to five points.
