There is reported uncertainty in Taraba state as Rebo Usman, the chief of staff to Governor Darius Ishaku is said to have tendered his resignation.
Vanguard, citing a source reports that Rebo Usman presented his resignation letter at the office of the governor in the early hours of Monday January 29.
“He came in without his usual Police escort; he was calm and steady. He went in silently and came out without discussing with anybody.
“After a while, a private vehicle came in and his personal items were removed and parked into the vehicle, with which he left," the source said.

Though, there has been no official confirmation of Usman’s resignation, a source said there had been a rift between the former chief of staff and the governor.
NAIJ.com learnt that others at the government house suggested that the resignation was in connection with the rift between the governor and the senator representing Taraba south, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, who is the political leader of Donga local government area, where Rebo Usman also comes from.
When contacted over the issue, the senior special assistant to the governor on media and publicity, Bala Danhabu, said he was yet to be briefed on the matter.

Meanwhile, the Taraba state governor, Darius Ishaku, on Friday, January 26, swore in two special advisers on farmers and herders relations.
The two new special advisers were sworn in at a brief ceremony at at the EXCO chambers of Taraba state Government House, Jalingo, The Punch reports.
The new aides are Abubakar Zubairu, Special Adviser on Herders Relation and Abdulrahman Biyams Adamu, Special Adviser on Farmers Relation.
The governor explained that he too this step so as to ensure smooth implementation of the open grazing prohibition law and representation from both sides (herders and farmers).
