Various Nigerians have responded to the statement made by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa), that the country needs needs a leader like former Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president.
Bruce had made his comments via his twitter handle, @benmurraybruce, in response to the CNN investigative journalism report which uncovered the slave trade business in Libya.

NAIJ.com notes that the senator lauded the former VP for responding and asking the global community for help, as he stated that Atiku is the kind of leader that Nigeria needs.
In the same vein, Bruce bashed the federal government for being slow to act and speak.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that some persons on social media alleged that Nigerians are now selling their own people as slaves to rebels in Libya.
A twitter user, @Virus_pluto, in a series of tweets, said a Nigerian who returned from Libya recounted how he was sold by a fellow Nigerian who promised to take him to Europe.
@Virus_pluto alleged that Nigerian traffickers sell girls for as high as $5000. He said younger girls are more expensive.
