The Nigerian police on Wednesday, August 8, rescued a young man allegedly chained for more that one year in Lagos.
Channels Television reports that the yet to be identified man was said to have been kept under lock by his 85-year old grandmother.
NAIJ.com gathered that the young man was said to have been mentally ill.
However, the area commander for the Area D police station condemned the action.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that the police discovered a ritualists den along the busy Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
A video capturing the discovery showed crowd gathered while the police tried to shoot some of the alleged ritualists hiding in the den.
