3 Facebook hackers defraud Lagos Speaker of N9.2m

- Three men have duped the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa of N9.2million

- The men reportedly hacked into his Facebook account and also gained access to his account at Guaranty Trust Bank

- The men were arrested in Delta state and arraigned on a five count charge of conspiracy, impersonation, and theft

Three men, Frank Nwokobia, 27, Ezeoke Kanayochukwu, 25, and Godwin Essien, 28 were accused of cyber crime and theft of N9.2million belonging to Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa.

They were charged to court by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), of the Lagos State Police Command, Panti-Yaba, of the Nigerian Police Force.

The men have been sent to Ikoyi Prison by a Federal High Court in Lagos, after they were docked on Wednesday, August 9.

According to NAN, the police said the three men conspired to hack the Facebook account of Mr Obasa and also gained access to his account at Guaranty Trust Bank, where they stole his N9, 188,100.

They were arraigned before Justice (Professor) Chuka Obiozor, on five count charge of conspiracy, impersonation, and theft.

The three accused men pleaded not guilty to the charges after which, Justice Obiozor, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N5 million with one surety each.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian man Idris Ahmed has called out Facebook for blocking him after he shared a post about the recent attack on some church-goers in Ozubulu, Anambra state, on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Ahmed had attempted to share what appears to be anti-Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) statements in a group called 'The Change Ambassadors', but he was blocked from sharing the post.
