President Buhari calls, writes Chief Bisi Akande; see content of the message

- President Buhari condoled with Chief Bisi Akande over the death of his wife

- The president followed his call with a message to the APC chieftain

- He prayed he has the strength the bear the loss of his wife

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a condolence message to Chief Bisi Akande whose wife, Omowunmi Akande passed away on Monday, July 10.

NAIJ.com had reported that Omowunmi and Bisi Akande got married 51 years ago and the marriage blessed with several children.

The president had called the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to condole with him over the death of his wife and followed it with a message.

Garba Shehu who is the spokesperson to the president disclosed this on Thursday, July 13.

The message reads: “I received the very sad news of the death of your dearly beloved wife, Madam Omowunmi Akande this morning. I am following our phone call with this letter of condolence, which comes from my heart.

“To lose a wife, a dear wife after 50 years, a constant and loving companion through good and bad times, is a blow only a man of unshakeable faith can withstand. Please extend my personal condolences to the immediate and wider Akande family and to friends of the family for this irreparable loss.

“May Allah give you the strength and Iman to endure her passing away.”

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Professor Yemi Osinbajo landed in Ibadan, Oyo state where he proceeded to Ila-Orangun, Osun state for the funeral ceremony of Mrs. Omowunmi Akande,.

The acting president touched down in the state on Thursday, July 13 where he was received by Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
