On Wednesday, July 12, the Supreme Court ruled on the matter between the former factional national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ali Modu-Sheriff, four others against the party.
The court in its ruling sacked Sheriff and declared a former governor of Kaduna state Ahmed Makarfi as the authentic leader of the party.
At the ruling today, July 12, the Supreme Court was filled with political bigwigs and members of the PDP.

One those PDP members include the governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose who came to the court in his vintage off-white Mercedes Benz car.
The car which had a black jeep following it also had the governor sitting behind.

Fayose dressed in an all white attire was driven by a his driver.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that the Supreme Court sacked the factional national chairman of the PDP Sheriff.

The court also ruled that Ahmed Makarfi, a former Kaduna state governor remain the leader of Nigeria's largest opposition party.
