Students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) may now have reasons to be excited as the Oyo and Osun state governments have decide to resolve the institution’s crisis.
The tertiary institution had remained shut for many months forcing the students to remain at home.

Many efforts by the students to attract the sympathy of both governments through protests had been rebuffed as the crisis progressed.

NAIJ.com reports that Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo and Rauf Aregbesola, his counterpart in Osun, finally came together to inaugurate a board for the tertiary institution.
Though details were sketchy at the time of this report, photographs of the duo carrying out the inauguration may have proven a resolve to get the institution running again.
There had been issues concerning the ownership of the institution which was established before the old Oyo state was broken into two to have Osun state.

The movement involving 150 officials includes 100 nurses, 20 consultants, 10 laboratory scientists, five physiotherapists, six pharmacists and some resident doctors and ward orderlies.
This was disclosed by the branch chairman, Medical and Dental Consultant Association of Nigeria, D. Afolabi Salawu at a press conference on Thursday, June 1.
