BREAKING NEWS: Excitement for officers of Peace Corps as Senate passes bill, await president's assent

The Nigerian Senate has finally passed the Peace (establishment) Corp bill with Bukola Saraki declaring that it was a long journey that finally led the country to the promise land.

"One long journey, we finally got to the Promise land. Thank you all," Saraki said after the bill was passed on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

The Peace Corps had lingered creating a bitter rift between its officers and the the Nigerian Police Force.

NAIJ.com reported recently how the power tussle between the the Nigeria Police Force and the Peace Corps took a new dimension following the raiding and arresting of the national commandant of the corps, Ambassador Dickson Akoh.
