- Happy residents of the cities trooped out to cheer the soldiers
To commemorate Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2017 (NADCEL 2017), troops of 26 Task Force Brigade conducted environmental sanitation exercise in Gwoza, Borno state.
The soldiers trooped out on Saturday July 1, 2017 to clean streets and drainage in the city which has suffered major attacks from Boko Haram terrorists in the past.

The visibly impressed and elated residents of the town came out to cheer up the troops. Eventually the sanitation exercise ended with a short route march by the troops and the people.

NAIJ.com reported earlier that the Nigerian Army says its troops in the north-eastern part of the country have killed five Boko Haram members.
The troops of 3 Battalion, 22 Brigade reportedly ambushed the Boko Haram members on Thursday, June 29, 2017 according to Sani Usman, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army.
