Yes, I support Kaduna declaration - Northern lawmaker says

- Aminu Suleiman, a Kano state member of the House of Representatives has supported the North threat on Igbos

- Suleiman has agreed to the call by the Youths on all the Igbos to vacate northern Nigeria before October 1

- He said it's unfortunate that Igbos have been using provocation to attract more attention than other parts of the country

A member of the House of Representatives from Kano state has supported the north threat on Igbo.

NAIJ.com reports that Northerners youths had earlier said that Igbos should vacate northern Nigeria before October 1.

Aminu Suleiman, the House Committee chairman, on Tertiary Education on Sunday, June 11, said that the Igbo people have been holding the country to ransom for quite too long.

Suleiman said: “I have read the statement of the Northern Youths Coalition. I may not completely say I share their vision 100 per cent; but they have found a supporter in me, because the people of eastern Nigeria have taken this country to ransom.

“They have been causing serious problems to this country; they caused the civil war, which brought backwardness in this country.

''They have been using provocation to attract more attention than other parts of the country.’’

He also praised the northern leaders especially the Kaduna state Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, for ordering the arrest of the northern youths.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that the O’odua Nationalist Coalition (ONAC), had reacted to North threat on Igbo and called on Yoruba people not to delay any longer before preparing for its nation.

ONAC reaction to the northern group is stated as “pain and misery on the Yoruba people due to distort of the development plan of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo for the South West”.

Reports have it that ONAC comprises 18 groups including Oodua Peoples Congress, (OPC), Oodua Liberation Movement, (OLM), Oodua Republic Coalition, (ORC).
