Living Faith Church Worldwide Pastors and their stories

Winners’ Chapel also known as Living Faith Church Worldwide International is one of the mega churches in Nigeria. It is also one of the richest church in the world with congregation in sixty-five countries. It was founded in 1983. Meet some of the leading Winners Chapel pastors.

A mega church with flock of souls in sixty-five countries will undoubtedly have a lot of pastors. But there will be some key pastors who are the face of the church and are in charge of the leadership of the church. So, here are some of the key pastors of the Living Faith Church Worldwide International a.k.a Winners’ Chapel.

Bishop David Oyedepo

Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo is the founder and President of Living Faith Church Worldwide a.k.a Winners’ Chapel. He is also a Christian author, a preacher and an architect by profession. Bishop David Oyedepo was born on the 27th of September 1954 in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. His father was a Muslim healer and his mother was a member of The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement.

He is a native of Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria. Bishop David Oyedepo spent most of his early years in Osogbo with his grandmother. His grandmother taught him a lot of Christian virtues growing up. She always took him to early morning prayers. He also learned the importance of tithing from his grandmother.

Bishop David Oyedepo became born again in 1969 while he was still in secondary school. He later studied architecture at Kwara State Polytechnic. After graduating, he was with the Federal Ministry of Housing in Ilorin. He later resigned to go into full-time ministry assignment. Bishop David Oyedepo has a Doctorate degree in Human Development from Honolulu University, Hawaii, United States.

The Mandate.

In May 1981, Bishop David Oyedepo had an eighteen-hour vision in which God instructed him to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith. This was the beginning of the establishment of the Living Faith Church Worldwide. The church was first called Liberation Faith Hour Ministries. Bishop David Oyedepo and his wife were ordained as pastors two years later by Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Pastor Adeboye also did the official commissioning of the new church. Bishop Oyedepo was ordained as a bishop five years later.

Winners' Chapel 50,000 capacity Auditorium, Otta

Bishop David Oyedepo began Winners Chapel in Kaduna. In 1989, he moved to Lagos after God instructed him to reach out to people in Lagos State. By 1998, the church had expanded with increasing number of worshippers. This led to the acquisition and relocation to a larger facility known today as Canaan Land, which is also the church headquarters today. Bishop David Oyedepo was the senior pastor of the Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000 seat capacity auditorium. He retired from active service as the resident pastor of Faith Tabernacle handing over to his son David Oyedepo Jnr.

Bishop David Oyedepo is still the President of David Oyedepo Ministries International (DOMI). DOMI comprises of Living Faith Church World Wide, World Mission Agency (WMA), Dominion Publishing House, Faith Academy and Kingdom Heritage Model Schools, Covenant University, Landmark University and other Social Development Missions Projects. He has authored over 70 Christian books. He is married to Pastor Faith Abiola Oyedepo. They are blessed with four children, David Oyedepo Jnr, Isaac Oyedepo, Love Oyedepo Ogah, Joys Oyedepo.

Pastor Faith Abiola Oyedepo is the wife of Bishop David Oyedepo who is the founder of Living Faith Church a.k.a Winners Chapel. She is also a preacher alongside her husband. She is loved by the parish in Nigeria and across the world for her continuous effort in making sure people build a strong family unit. Faith Abiola Oyedepo is the author of several books on family, youth, women empowerment, and marital success. She also uses other media avenues to propagate her message of a stronger family unit and other areas of relationship, and family. She has been a practical example of a modest lifestyle to many and shown in practical ways how a home can be the Eden that God intended it to be. She is happily married and blessed with four children.

Bishop David Abioye is the Senior Resident Pastor of the Living Faith Church, Goshen City, Abuja-Keffi Road, Nigeria. He has many years of experience under his lifetime mentor, Bishop David Oyedepo. Bishop David Abioye messages focus on the fundamentals of the church mandate which includes Faith, Prosperity and Signs, and Wonders. Pastor Abioye is blessed with the grace of inspiring Christians towards developing an intimate relationship with God, living a victorious Christian life and a life of spiritual stewardship. Bishop David Abioye is happily married to Mary A. Abioye. God has blessed their marriage with three children, David Jnr., Daniel, and Ruth.

David Oyedepo (Jnr.)

David Oyedepo Jnr

David Oyedepo Jnr. is the eldest son of Bishop David Oyedepo and Pastor Faith Oyedepo. He is currently the Senior Resident Pastor of Faith Tabernacle, the headquarters of the Living Faith Church. He was formerly the Resident Pastor of Winners Chapel London and the regional Pastor of the European network of the church branches. David Oyedepo Jnr. graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Oral Roberts University and a Master’s degree from Oklahoma Christian University. He was ordained as a pastor in May 2007 by Kenneth Copeland. He is an epitome of humility and he preaches the fundamental values of Christian living based on the twelve pillars of the church. He is happily married to Kemi Oyedepo.

Isaac Oyedepo

Isaac Oyedepo.

Isaac Oyedepo is the second son of Bishop David Oyedepo. He is the resident pastor of the Living Faith Church Lokogoma, Abuja Nigeria. Isaac Oyedepo was ordained as a pastor by Kenneth Copeland in May 2007. He has since then pastored in different branches of the church propagating the liberation mandate given to Bishop David Oyedepo. He has previously pastored Winners Chapel New York and Winners Chapel International, South Africa. He is happily married to Ayomitide Oyedepo and their union is blessed with three children.
