Igbo women take spiritual action over President Buhari’s health

- Women under the auspices of the Okigwe South Women ask for God’s guidance for all political leaders in the country

- Five hundred Islamic scholars offer special prayers for the well-being of President Muhammadu Buhari and the country

A women group in Imo state has held a prayer session for the quick recovery and safe return of President Mohammad Buhari.

The women under the auspices of the Okigwe South Women who held a one-day prayer summit at the local government headquarters of Obowo LGA of Imo state also prayed for the nation and asked for God’s guidance for all political leaders in the country, Channels TV reports.

The group also gave out funds and provision of food items to widows and the less privileged.

Meanwhile, five hundred Islamic scholars have offered special prayers for the well-being of President Muhammadu Buhari and the country.

The gathering of the clerics, drawn from the 14 local government areas of Zamfara state, was organised by the Zamfara state government, PM news reports.

The state’s commissioner for rural and community development, Alhaji Lawal Liman, said the clerics were brought together as part of activities lined up for the 2017 Democracy Day celebration in the state.
