Human rights lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, has said the cabal in the presidency have restricted Yemi Osinbajo from fully exercising the powers of the acting president.

Ozekhome made the statement on Wednesday, June 28, when he backed Governor Fayose's call for President Muhammadu Buhari to resign, Channels TV reports.
The senior lawyer said the cabal in the presidency had reminded Osinbajo that he was not fully in charged via the Sallah speech credited to President Muhammadu Buhari where he addressed Nigerians in Hausa language.
According to the lawyer, the Sallah speech was delivered in Hausa language, as a reminder that Buhari’s cabal hold sway in Aso Rock.
He said: “We have seen a situation where what Dora Akunyili famously referred to as the cabal. The cabal has consistently flown the kite of Mr President, lurking behind and in front of the corridors of power which was why they gave us a voice some few days ago, whether genuine or stimulated, that it was President Muhammadu Buhari addressing Nigerians with much profanity, in his own native language of Hausa which is not the recognized lingual franca.

“The point they tried to make is that whether we like it or not, Mr President is hovering around here, he is right here with us.
“That has not given the acting president who has assumed full powers of the President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo SAN, the capacity, the ability, the space to act because he continues to look behind his shoulders whether they would throw in the name of the president."
Ozekhome stated that Fayose’s call for Buhari’s resignation on health grounds was the right thing to do, saying Nigeria cannot be left like a country without direction.
“Fayose is therefore right and right to call for Mr President’s resignation because it is clear that under section 143 and 144 of the Constitution, the Federal Executive Council, which is made up of ministers appointed by the President himself cannot recommend that Mr President be subjected to medical report by a panel set up for that purpose,” he said.
Meanwhile, Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Thursday, June 29, has criticized his Ekiti State counterpart, Ayodele Fayose, over his statement on the state of health of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Okorocha speaking with State House correspondents in Abuja said Nigerians should disregard Fayose’s statement, which he described as ‘uncharitable.
Similarly, the Buhari Media Group condemned the statement made by the Ekiti state Governor Ayo Fayose that the president has been on a life support machine for 22 days.
The group said Fayose's position on President Muhammadu Buhari is a "cacophony of lies".
The BMSG in a statement signed by its chairman and secretary Austin Braimoh and Cassidy Madueke said the comments by Fayose did not come as a surprise to the group.
