An audio message of President Muhammadu Buhari greeting Muslims as thy celebrate Eid-el-Fitr has sparked a heated debate among Nigerians.
In the audio recording which is a minute and three seconds long, the president delivered his greeting in Hausa language.
Some Nigerians are wondering why the president chose to deliver his message in Hausa and have strongly criticized him for doing so.

This is the first time Buhari wil be addressing the country since he left on a medical trip to the United Kingdom on Sunday, May 7.
There are speculations that the voice message was released to debunked rumour that President Buhari is currently suffering from speech impairment.
There have been unconfirmed reports claiming that Buhari has developed speech difficulties and memory lapses as a result of his ill health.
Prior to his traveling out of the country, the president had rarely been seen in public, fueling speculations about the state of his health.
Meanwhile, former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has alleged that it was not President Buhari speaking in the Sallah audio message.

In a tweet on Sunday, June 25, he wrote: "It was NOT Buhari that spoke in todays sallah day audio recording. And for whoever it was to address the nation in hausa is insulting."
