In a move since his release from Kuje Prison in Abuja, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu met with the wife and children of his co-accused Benjamin Madubugwu.
Madubugwu's wife visited Kanu with her kids in his hometown, Isiama Afara, Umuahia.

Although the purpose of the visit is yet to be ascertained, NAIJ.com gathered that it could not be unconnected to plans to ensure the release of Madubugwu and Kanu's two other co-accused in prison.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Kanu and two others - Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi - were arrested and charged to court by the Department of State Services (DSS) in 2015.

The trio were later remanded in prison custody after a Federal High Court in Abuja rejected their bail applications.

However, Kanu was later granted bail on April 25, by Justice Binta Nyako of the FHC after a fourth accused Chidiebere Onwudiwe was joined in the matter and several charges against squashed by the court.
