DSS refutes alleged recovery of $9m dollars in CJN Onnoghen’s home

- Defense Security Service (DSS) has declined that the alleged $9 million dollar recovered in CJN Onnoghen’s home is not true.

- DSS said that the report of money was complete falsehood and it should be discarded

- It said it is unfortunate that some mischief makers may go to any length to fabricate stories to cause confusion in the polity

Defense Security Service (DSS), has said that the alleged $9 million dollar recovered in CJN Onnoghen’s home is a complete falsehood.

Reports have it recently that $9m was recovered from the home of Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Walter Onnoghen during an operation.

Meanwhile, a top security officer with the intelligence service declined that the report is a fallacy and it should be trashed.

The officer said: ''The entire report claiming that DSS has found close to $9m in the account of the Chief Justice of the Federation is complete falsehood and baseless insinuation.

''In fact, there is no single operation or raid at any residence or home of the Chief Justice.

The media and the public are kindly advised to ignore such reckless reports. “It is unfortunate that some mischief makers may go to any length to fabricate stories to cause confusion in the polity.”

NAIJ.com recalls that the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide had lashed out at the Movement for the Actualisation of a Sovereign State Of Biafra (MOASSOB) for including the Niger Delta region in its Biafra map.

MASSOB and other pro-Biafra group have been agitating for an independent Biafra state and has insisted that the Niger Delta region was part of its territory.

However, in a statement issued on Tuesday, June 6, the IYC through its spokesperson, Barr. Henry Iyalla, said while it recognised the Biafra struggle, their agitation predates the south east own.
