Senator Dino Melaye has mocked Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state for purportedly sponsoring a move to recall him from the Nigerian Senate.
NAIJ.com recalls that Melaye who is representing Kogi West, has been on the spotlight following moves by electorates to recall him from the red chamber.
The returning officer for the recall exercise, Adamu Yusuf, explained that out of 360,098 of the total registered voters of the seven local governments in the area, 188, 588 have signed.
However, Senator Melaye appears untroubled by the development, which he alleged was being sponsored by the Kogi state governor.

The senator recently took to his Instagram handle to give a big laugh over the issue.

Meanwhile, the petition to recall Senator Dino Melaye will be received by the the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday June 21.
According to reports, a source within the Kogi state government confirmed the development on the condition of anonymity.
According to the source, all that needs to be done has been completed and “it is left to INEC to take the next course of action.”
