A cleric Amos Kiri has called on the federal government to treat the herdsmen causing crisis across various state in Nigeria like Boko Haram.
NAIJ.com gathered that Kiri who is the president of the United Church of Christ in Nigeria also known as HEKAN said it is important that the federal government dislodge the herdsmen like they did to Boko Haram terrorists operating in the North-East.
Speaking at 51st Annual Convention of HEKAN church in Kaduna on Sunday, Kiri said the herdsmen have wrecked unimaginable havoc in many states across Nigeria.

He also said that many innocent Nigerians have suffered in the hands of these herdsmen who he said deserves the same kind of onslaught meted out to Boko Haram terrorists by the military.
The cleric further called on the Nigerian military to maintain its onslaught against the terrorists.
While thanking God for the recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari, Kiri said the church of God will not relent in praying for the leader of the nation.
“The continuous killings by herdsmen across the country are of great concern to all peace loving Nigerians," Kiri said.

“May I urge the government to use the same massive attacks used by the combined efforts of the gallant armed forces of Nigeria in dislodging Boko Haram from Sambisa forest on the herdsmen who are attacking and killing innocent Nigerians.
“This country has suffered enough from the hands of the herdsmen. The succeeding war on the Boko Haram terrorists should be sustained. The killing must be stopped.
“Government should provide adequate security for the returnees from IDP camps to avoid unwanted killings. The government must not fail in this responsibility,” he said.
