- After a teenage boy went missing in Greater Noida, a relatively small town in India, angry Indians attacked Nigerians living in the community accusing them of cannibalism

- It soon turned to a blood thirsty mob when the body of the missing boy turned up, Africans in the village where accused of killing him and attacked

- Precious and Endurance Amalawa were two of the unfortunate Nigerians to get attacked by the mob

After a NAIJ.com posted a video of a Nigerian, Endurance Amalawa, brutally beaten by angry Indian mob, the 21 year old victim who was lucky to be alive and his brother, Precious recounted their ordeal.

Precious, 23, who was hiding in a changing room in the mall, witnessed how the mob descended on his brother with anything they could lay their hands on, ranging from planks, to belt to rods.

Precious said: "They attacked him with bricks, sticks, belts."

Endurance's body was wrapped his bandages, from his temple, to his cheek and both arms. Precious' arms were also covered in cuts and bruises from when the mob chased him from his hiding place by shoving sharp objects through the changing room's thin walls.

NAIJ.com recalled that violence started March 24 when a teenage boy disappeared in Greater Noida, outside New Delhi, and angry relatives claimed he'd been killed by his Nigerian neighbors. A mob of people began searching the area for Africans, with some accusing kidnappers of eating the boy.

The boy returned home Saturday morning and died later that day.

Five Nigerian students who were initially arrested and accused with the murder where released by the police when they couldn't find evidence against them.

The rumour of cannibalism started after that and soon, Indians started the attack on Africans in the area, accusing them of surviving on human flesh, Fox News reports.

Endurance who was badly beaten by the mob said: "When they picked the chair and hit my head, I thought I would die."

Samuel Jack, the president of the African student association in Indian explained the extent of hatred and antagonism the blacks are being confronted with in Indian.

Jack said: "We face street aggression, abuses. We also face difficulty in getting accommodation, we face difficulty in naturally integrating with the local community."

"I just give you an example. I have Indian friends in my school, I have never visited their house and they have never ever decided to ask me: Where do you live? Can I come and see you?"

The Nigerians continue to live in fear even after it seems like sanity has returned to the street.

Meanwhile, some of the Indian based in Nigeria who talked about the incidents were disappointed about what their countrymen have done.

Arunraj Muruganandam, who has been based in Lagos for the last 15 years said: “I was deeply disturbed by the attacks on the Nigerian students in India. But I feel Indians mistreat the Africans anyway. Their conception about Africa and Africans is wrong. “There has never been a case where an African has mistreated a foreigner in their country. The whole fact that we somehow feel we are superior to them is very uncomforting.”
