Nigerian senators react to Davido's uncle's death

- Nigerian senators on Wednesday, April 26, mourned the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke who died on over the weekend

- At the plenary today, the senators while eulogizing late Adeleke said, he will be greatly missed

- Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremmadu said the late senator is like a brother to him as he was born and grew up in Enugu - Ekweremmadu's hometown

Nigerian senators on Wednesday, April 26, mourned the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke who died on over the weekend.

At the plenary today, the senators while eulogizing late Adeleke said, he will be greatly missed.

Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremmadu said the late senator is like a brother to him as he was born and grew up in Enugu - Ekweremmadu's hometown.

Also, Senator Garba Binta who joined her colleagues to pay tribute to Adeleke said: "I spoke with his wife 72 hours before his death. Death is inevitable, our prayer is to his wife, children and community."

Meanwhile, Senator Enyinnaya Abaraibe said Adeleke's death is a sad thing.

Abaraibe said: "Man proposes and God disposes, its really a sad thing. We ask God that this death won't kill the Adeleke name"

Also, speaking, the senator representing Oyo North federal constituency in Oyo state Buhari Abdulfatai said some people have kept on crying over Adeleke's death.

"After the news of his death, some people cried "Hunger go kill us" he was a philanthropist," Abdulfatai said.

"Death is inevitable. Whatever you are doing do for your people, so that when you are no more they will speak well of you," he added.

Another Senator Foster Ogala said late Adeleke was a man of honour, a good leader, a friend and a brother.

After various tributes from more senators, the Senate President Bukola Saraki puts in a prayer that the Senate should observe a minute silence in honour of the late Senator Adeleke.

Saraki also said a delegation from the Red Chambers should be sent to commiserate with late Adeleke's family in Osun state.
