The Zamfara state governor Abdulaziz Yari has agreed to scale up efforts to stop the outbreak of meningitis in the state.

NAIJ.com gathered that in a meeting with the minister of health Isaac Adewole and some stakeholders in the health sector, the governor promised to lead a move to fix Zamfara's state broken heath system.

The minister of health in a tweet said the meeting will move towards improving healthcare services in the state.
Recall that the governor had earlier had a bad time after his remark that the recent outbreak of meningitis - a serious disease in which causes inflammation of the meninges, a membrane that envelopes the brain and central nervous system is a curse from God.

Yari in his statement said the the disease outbreak was as a result of curses gathered from sinful activities in Nigeria.
