Buhari must hear this one - Kaduna electricity distribution company allegedly increases charges by more than 200 percent

A resident of Tudun Nupawa area of Kaduna state has called the attention of NAIJ.com to what he described as a "sharp increase in electricity charges from 4,087.35 to 12,235.68 monthly by the Kaduna electricity distribution company."

According to the resident who wished to be identified as Sani, he was surprised to see an astronomical electricity bill.

"I was not at home when they brought the bill, when i got back i check the bill and saw 12,235.68, i was surprise, so i went to their business office to ask whether its a mistake but they told me the charges were correct, its the company that said people are being under billed and the increase is for everybody."

Sani said the charges were 4000 last month and even at that it was only 3000 he was able to pay.

NAIJ.com also visited the business unit and met only one staff on ground. The staff confirmed the increment.

Meanwhile, in the video below, NAIJ.com took to the street to ask Nigerians to name a politician who is not corrupt.
