BREAKING: Saraki not the owner of stolen N310million - DSS

- DSS has said in clear terms that the alleged N310m stolen in the house of Saraki did not belong to Senate president or any member of the National Assembly

- The DSS accuses its dismissed staff, Abdulrasheed Maigari, of trying to fabricate a lie for a hidden motive

- Maigari, has alleged that he stole N310 million from the house of Senate President Bukola Saraki

The Department of State Security Service (DSS) on Sunday night, April 2, cleared the Senate president Bukola Saraki of any culpability over ownership of N310million allegedly stolen from his Maitama home.

The report comes just as the Senate president denied that any money was stolen from him.

And according to DSS, the cash did not belong to Saraki or any member of the National Assembly, Vanguard reports.

The DSS in clear terms accused its dismissed staff, Abdulrasheed Maigari, who is now standing trial for armed robbery of trying to fabricate a lie for a hidden motive.

NAIJ.com recalls that Maigari, a former DSS operative, had said that he and others connived to steal the huge cash from the Senate President’s home when they were working as security operatives in his house.

Maigari who is in police custody, alleged that an army captain, who is on the security detail of the Senate president had ordered the robbery.
