Vanguard had earlier reported that two soldiers and five policemen lost their lives following the clash, but fresh reports say the death toll has risen, as yet another soldier has died.
Information gathered by NAIJ.com suggest that the militants struck overnight at the Hollywood area of Owutu in Ikorodu.
