President of the Nigerian Senate Bukola Saraki has landed in Germany with other Nigerian lawmakers for a two-day trip to the central European country.
The official Twitter handle of the Senate president tweeted pictures of Saraki and other senators arriving in Germany.

Recall that the trip was confirmed in a statement from Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki’s special adviser (Media and Publicity), who said the delegation will, among other things, hold series of meetings with the leadership of the German Parliament and the German-African business groups.

Meanwhile, the Senate has dropped plans to send a delegation of lawmakers to South Africa to protest the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in that country.
The Upper House of legislature announced the decision during plenary on Wednesday, March 8 saying it is only the House of Representatives will now send lawmakers to South Africa.
