Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) has cautioned Fulani herdsmen against violence against their host communities.
The national secretary of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), Baba Othman Ngelzarma said the association frowns at extremism, blood-letting.
Tribune reports that Ngelzarma lamented that members of the association had been at the receiving end of the lingering fights between herdsmen, farmers and host communities as some members were killed as well as their cows getting killed and rustled.

The association, he said would no longer condone any act of brutality on its members.
Ngelzarma said: “When ever there is violence and killings, farmers and members of such communities received favourable reports while herdsmen were singled out for condemnation.
“We cannot deny the fact that some of our members have resorted to the application of force in the cause of seeking vengeance, MACBAN, on several occasions condemned such barbaric and brutal acts and called on relevant security agencies to fish out perpetrators and bring them to justice.”
Ngelzarma said the association will continue to promote peace and peaceful coexistence between Fulani herdsmen and their host communities.

He said: “We shall continue to be part of any effort at genuine reconciliation between the Fulani herdsmen, farmers and their host communities in any part of the country.”
Meanwhile, following an attack on Sunday, February 20 by Fulani herdsmen which resulted in the killing of about 14 indigenes, a 24-hour curfew has been announced in the region.
The curfew was imposed by the state Security Council in Jema’a and Kaura local government areas and it is with immediate effect.
