- Maiyaishi revealed that Sani had already been registered as a full member of PRP after his defection to the party
The Kaduna state chapter of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) on Monday, October 29, confirmed Senator Shehu Sani as its flag bearer for the Kaduna Central senatorial race, Daily Trust reports.
Legit.ng gathered that the state chairman of the party, Dr. Mataimaki Tom Maiyashi, said Senator Sani had been fully registered with the party at his Ward 6 in Tudun Wada in Kaduna South Local Government.
He said: “I wish to confirm that he is the candidate that will be contesting under our party for Kaduna Central Senatorial district.

“Although before the coming on board of Senator Shehu Sani somebody had already purchased form for the Kaduna Central senatorial ticket but on his own, he decided to step down.
“Senator Shehu Sani’s ideology has always been that of the PRP, so to us he has just come back home and we are happy he has returned,” he said.
In a previous report by Legit.ng, the senator representing Kaduna central at the National Assembly Senator Shehu Sani said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not exist after the tenure of President Buhari.

He argued that Buhari remains the heart, soul and oxygen of the party. Sani disclosed this when he made an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
"APC cannot last beyond the political lifespan of President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari remains the heart, soul and oxygen of the party. I don’t think after Buhari, there will be APC again in the sense that everything begins and ends with him,” Sani said.
