- Chelsea vs West Ham United Premier League clash ended in favour of the home team
- Eden Hazard scored twice in the game to power the Blues to third on the EPL table after 33 matches
- They will however face Liverpool in their next meeting to ensure they keep their position intact for Champions League qualification
Chelsea secured much needed victory over London rivals West Ham United and boost their chances of qualifying for Champions League at the end of the season.
Belgium forward Eden Hazard scored the only goal that helped the Blues overcome their visitors at Stamford Bridge on Monday, April 8.
The 28-year-old made a solo run into the Hammers danger-zone after receiving a pass from Reuben Loftus-Cheek almost at the edge of the center circle.
Against all odds, Hazard made a run into the opponent's box dribbling a couple of defenders in the process before burying the ball at the back of the net.

The visitors resumed action having conceded in the 24th minute but all efforts to restore parity in the game were unfruitful.
And that saw the referee sound the whistle to signal the end of the first 45 minutes of the encounter at the Bridge.
On return from the half time break, the two London teams made multiple efforts to ensure that they score each other, but the scoreline remains for the longer part of the game.
Though, the hosts outplayed their visitors in most part of the meeting, as they created more chances, with seven of their shots were on target but could not just find the back of the net.
When it was looking like the match would be settled with just one goal, Hazard, who was clearly in form in the game stepped up and fire home his side's second goal of the night.
The goal also meant he completed his brace before the match official signaled the end of the meeting at Stamford Bridge.

This also means that the Blues finished third on the log after their 33rd Premier League fixture this campaign.
Meanwhile, they will hope they can remain on this position until the end of the season, but still have clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United to contend with before the season is over in May.
