Cristiano Ronaldo secured for Juventus a mighty victory against Atletico Madrid, powering the Serie A team through to the 2018/19 Champions League quarter finals.

The 34-year-old proved once again why the Old Lady spent big to get him down with the specific task of winning the coveted European club competition title.

Ronaldo was the weight Juventus needed to tip the Champions League scale in their favor and overturn a 2-0 away deficit, and the Portuguese says it is exactly what brought him to Turin.

Legit.ng takes a look at five magical moments Ronaldo's solo effort was enough to inspire his team to victory and save the day.

5. Ronado (Real Madrid) vs Schalke 04 (2012)

Ronaldo opened scoring just before the end of the first half and went on to score his first Champions League hat-trick to see Real Madrid beat Ajax 4-1.

4. Ronaldo (Real Madrid) vs Atletico Madrid (2017)

Ronaldo found the back of the net once again to give Real Madrid a 3-0 advantage in their first leg of their semi-final against rivals Atletico Madrid.

3. Ronaldo (Real Madrid) vs Wolfsburg (2016)

Ronaldo banged a hat-trick to secure Real Madrid a spot in the semi finals and overturn Wolfsberg's 2-0 first leg advantage.

2. Ronaldo (Portugal) vs Spain (2018)

Spain's chances of a victory in the World Cup 2018 Group B opener against Portugal snatched away thanks to Ronaldo's hat-trick that saw the game end 3-3 at Fisht Olympic Stadium.

1. Ronaldo (Juventus) vs Atletico Madrid (2019)

Many had ruled out the 34-year-old following his switch to Juventus from Madrid, even after an illustrious 9-year career that saw him win titles and set new records while in Spain.

However, he has once again proven worthy of of the title 'Greatest Of All Time' after scoring a hat-trick for Juventus that saw them secure a 3-2 aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Cristiano Ronaldo is now on the verge of being banned for at least one game in the Champions League following his celebration against Atletico Madrid in the second leg round of 16 clash.

Ronaldo was superb for Juventus on Tuesday night, March 12, scoring three goals against Atletico Madrid which sent the Old Lady to the quarterfinal of the Champions League.
